Una McCann
Una McCann is a Belfast based choir leader, singer, songwriter and musician with over 30 years of experience as a music facilitator working with people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Una now works primarily using singing and runs up to 8 weekly choirs. These choirs all operate in line with the Natural Voice Network principles, for example; no audition and all songs taught by ear. Una currently sits as Chair on that organisation’s Trustee Board.
A qualified music teacher (PGCE),Una has been leading choirs professionally for 13 years. Currently work with community choirs in Antrim, Ballymena and Belfast she also runs a weekly Irish language choir in Belfast called ‘Na Béil Bhinne’.
Una also works with staff at Queens University and Translink providing them with Well-Being choirs. An accomplished pianist and guitarist, she often uses these instruments to accompany choirs.

Una says ‘I believe strongly in the benefits of singing on many levels. In addition to sounding lovely, it benefits our psychology, our physical health and can help build community. I love to help more and more people discover the joys of singing together.’
