Growing Singing Kendal – An Evening of Songs and Spoken Word
Growing Singers are a 60 strong community fundraising choir that have performed on very many occasions since starting in January 2023. However, we’ve never hosted a concert ourselves…until now!
Join us for an uplifting evening of song and spoken word on Saturday 19th July at 7pm at Kendal Parish Hall where we will be raising awareness and valuable funds for two local charities who do wonderful work in and around Kendal – Carer Support South Lakes and Cancer Care.
We’ll entertain you with a selection of glorious harmony songs, some of which you’ll recognise and some that will be newer. Sue Gill and Helen Walker will be interspersing our songs with segments of thoughtful and engaging and spoken word.
There will be a raffle and refreshments on the night and a chance to find out a little more about these two charities work.

Growing Singing CIC (run by Clare Elleray Mee and Rachael Wadey) aims to encourage and enable a growing number of people around Kendal to enjoy the benefits of a blooming good sing! We actively encourage people to join in with any local singing opportunity, not just those we run ourselves by listing as many different choirs and singing groups that we know of in the local area. Parking available right outside, free parking from 6pm onwards, seven days a week.
